Shades of Green

So I took this quiz that I got from Kari at Giveaway Addicted Mommy. Her description sounds more like me than this one.

Your rainbow is strongly shaded green.

What is says about you: You are an intelligent person. You feel strong ties to nature and your mood changes with its cycles. Those around you admire your fresh outlook and vitality.

Tagged!

I hate being it. I was never good as the "It". But my dear friend Kari tagged me so now I have to play the game.
The rules of the game are to post the 6th picture in the 6th folder in my photo archives and then tag 6 people.
Well here's my photo...but I only know one person to tag... Tina at Mommy Scraps A lot.

This is one of those goofy pictures of my dad taking a picture of the photographer which I believe is my husband. It was taken during our anniversary party in July of '06. My dad is wonderful. He would do anything for me and makes me laugh more and more as he gets older. I am so lucky to have such a great dad!

A Good Day

Today was a a pretty good day with Harrison. He took three naps today... two were short, but there were three. He was only fussy during Jeopardy... his usual time. Bath time calms him down and then it is touch and go after that. Tonight my dear sweet husband got him to sleep at 8 o'clock. Bless his heart... but Harrison needs to eat and now he won't go down for bed easily. Oh well. Here's to another day... Love my boys.

Mommy Mission Statement

I am part of a new mothers support group called Mothers Embracing the Moment. So far it has been a wonderful group to be apart of. I have also joined MOPS and MOMS Club in my area and these groups have allowed me to connect with other moms near by, but Mothers Embracing the Moment has helped me to embrace every moment I am home with my little boy. I look at him a 100 times a day and think I am so lucky to have this time with him. He is a true blessing.
One of our assignments is to write a Mommy Mission Statement. What am I going to do for my son. What will I give him? The answer... Everything! What wouldn't I do or give for him. My mission this week is to put it into words so I can read it and live it today, tomorrow and years from now. I'm looking for inspiration to write a meaningful and honest mommy mission statement.

Doodlebug Dezigns Giveaway!

My best friend had her son Luke 7 weeks before my son Harrison was born. I thought for sure I would send out my announcements before her, since she sent the ones for her second son Jake when he was 7 months old. To my surprise a few weeks after Luke was born I got an adorable birth announcement in the mail. She ordered her announcements from Doodlebug Dezigns.
Well she is giving away a $25 gift certificate to Doodlebug Dezigns. So go to "A Giveaway Addicted Mommy" and check it out!

Welcome

So here it is! I finally decided on a theme for my blog. Not that a theme is necessary, but I'm kinda crazy like that. I wanted to find a way to talk about the stuff I enjoying...my little boy Harrison and cooking. My goal for this blog is to post about food, cooking with a baby, and of course my adorable son. Not sure how much time I will have, but I'll give it a shot. Hope you enjoy. Please be patient and wish me luck as I learn all the things that can be done to a blog.
